Remove the two bolts and hose guard (10) from both
sides of the drum.
NOTE:
The shipping weight of the roller with the pad-foot
shell kit is 26,680 lb (12102 kg).

Attach a suitable hoist to both sides of drum assembly
(11) as shown. Raise the drum assembly approximately
12.7 mm (0.50 in). Position Tooling (A) under each side
of yoke (13) as shown.

Attach a chain and "C" clamp to the drum assembly and
support plates (14) on the vibratory side of the drum
assembly. This will prevent the support plates and
mounting plate from rotating when the drum assembly is
removed from the yoke.
NOTE:
When removing the drum assembly, note the
thickness and number of shims on each side of
the yoke. When installing the drum assembly,
install the shims in their original location.
11.
Remove six bolts (12) from each side of the drum
assembly. Remove any shims that are between the
yoke and the drum assembly.

Remove drum assembly (11) from yoke (13). The
weight of the drum assembly for the CS-563D is 3720
kg (8190 lb). The weight of the drum assembly for the
CP-563D is 4875 kg (10 740 lb). The weight of the
drum assembly for the CS-583D is 6583 kg (14 500 lb).
NOTE:
After removing the drum assembly from the yoke,
lower it to the floor and position wooden blocks
on both sides of the drum assembly.
NOTE:
For installation of the drum assembly, reverse the
removal steps.
NOTE:
After installing the drum assembly, perform the
drum flushing procedure described in Special
Instruction Form No. SEHS9880.
