Bumper & Front Scraper
Remove & Install Bumper & Front
Scraper 7156, 6607-010
1.
Attach lifting straps and a hoist to bumper (1) as shown.
2.
Remove four bolt (2) from each side of the yoke, and
remove bumper (1) and the front scraper from the
machine. The weight of the bumper and front scraper
assembly for the CS-563D and CP-563D is 220 kg (484
lb). The weight of the bumper and front scraper
assembly for the CS-583D is 820 kg (1804 lb).
NOTE:
For installation of the bumper and front scraper,
reverse the removal steps.

Start By:

remove bumper & front scraper
Place blocking under the rear of the machine to prevent
possible sudden movement of the machine when the drum
is removed. Personal injury may be the result of sudden
movement of the machine when the drum is removed.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and
under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill
cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is
stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your
bare hand.

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (page 14-7).
2.
Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank. The
capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 80 liters (21.1 U.S.
gal).
3.
Install steering lock pin (1) in the locked position as
shown.
