Exhaust Manifold
Remove & Install Exhaust
Manifold 1059-010
Start By:
a.
remove turbocharger

1.
Remove bolts (1), the locks, exhaust manifold (2) and
the gaskets from the cylinder head assembly.
2.
If necessary, remove the four turbocharger mounting
studs from the exhaust manifold.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the
exhaust manifold.

If the four turbocharger mounting studs were removed
from the exhaust manifold, install them, and tighten
them to a torque of 35 ± 5 N m (26 ± 4 Ib-ft).
If the 2P-2333 Sealer is left on the inside of the exhaust
manifold after assembly, it may cause damage to the
turbocharger.
4a.
Coat the inside diameter of the female ends of the
manifold with engine oil.
4b.
Apply a thin coat of 2P-2333 Sealer to the outside
diameter of the male ends of the manifold before
assembly. Remove the excess sealer from the joints.
5.
Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of
the bolts that hold the exhaust manifold in position.
