REPAIR PARTS SUPPLY
General.
3-1.
a . T h e basic policies and procedures in AR 710-2
and AR 725-50 are generally applicable to repair parts management for construction
equipment .
b . M a n u f a c t u r e r ' s parts manuals are furnished with the Roller
i n s t e a d of Department of the Army Repair Parts and Special Tool List
(RPSTL).
c . N a t i o n a l Stock Number (NSNs) are initially assigned-only to
P L L / A S L parts and major assemblies, i.e., engines transmissions, etc.
A d d i t i o n a l NSNs are assigned by the supply support activities as demands
warrant.
d . Automated Processing (AUTODIN) of Federal Supply Code Manufacturer
( F S C M ) part number requisitions, w i t h o u t edit for matching NSNs and exception
data, is authorized.
P r o p e r use of project codes on parts requisitions is essential.

f . R e p a i r parts are available from commercial sources and may be
purchased locally in accordance with AR 710-2 and AR 735-110.
Initial Prescribed Load List (PLL) and Authorized Stock List
g.
(ASL) will be distributed by US Army Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM),
ATTN: DRSTA-FH, Warren, Michigan 48090.
3 - 2 . P r e s c r i b e d Load List (PLL). The PLL distributed by TACOM is an
e s t i m a t e d 15 days supply recommended for initial stockage at organizational
maintenance. M a n a g e m e n t of PLL items will be governed by the provisions of
AR 710-2 and local command procedures. S e l e c t i o n of PLL parts for shipment
to CONUS/OCONUS units is based upon the receiving Commands recommendation
a f t e r their review of the TACOM prepared list. O r g a n i z a t i o n s a n d a c t i v i t i e s
i n CONUS/OCONUS will establish PLL stocks through normal requisitioning
process.
3 - 3 . A u t h o r i z e d Stockage List (ASL). The ASL distributed by TACOM is an
e s t i m a t e d 45 days supply of repair parts for support units and activities.
T h e ASL parts will be shipped according to the recommendations of the
receiving commands, a f t e r t h e y h a v e r e v i e w e d t h e i n i t i a l l i s t d i s t r i b u t e d
by TACOM. Support units and activities in CONUS/OCONUS will establish ASL
s t o c k s through normal requisitioning process.
