REMOVAL
NOTE
Idler gear marks may not be in mesh with other three gears due to different speed of rotation of idler gear.

Align timing marks on crankshaft gear, camshaft gear,

fuel injector pump gear, and idler gear.
2.
Remove three bolts (1) and retaining plate (2) from
idler gear (3).
NOTE
Use puller to remove idler gear.
3.
Remove idler gear (3) from front of cylinder block (4).
