MALFUNCTION
Starter Faulty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Touch positive (+) probe of multimeter and negative (-) probe of multimeter to locations below.
2.
Have assistant turn battery disconnect switch to ON position (TM 5-3895-379-10).
3.
Turn and hold engine start switch to START (full right) position (TM 5-3895-379-10) for not more
than 30 seconds.
4.
Turn engine start switch to OFF position (TM 5-3895-379-10).
a.
If voltage drop is greater than shown below, repair or replace faulty wires (WP 0192).
b.
If voltage drop is not greater than shown below, replace starter (WP 0152).
