Raise leveling blade (TM 5-3895-383-10).
CAUTION
Keep debris from getting between drum
surface and mating surface of pad-foot
shell half. Debris caught between surface
will not allow proper seating of shell to
drum. Poor equipment performance and
damage to equipment could result.

Drive Roller forward until pad-foot shell half (11) is
beneath drum assembly (12) with bolt anchor points
(16) a 3:00 and 9:00 positions.

Lower leveling blade (TM 5-3895-383-10).
(15)
Set parking brake (TM 5-3895-383-10).
(16)
Shut engine off(TM 5-3895-383-10).
(17)
Chock wheels and drum.
(18)
Attach lifting device with minimum 1,690 lbs (677 kg)
capacity to lifting eyes of pad-tot shell half (16).
(19)
Position pad-foot shell half (17) on top of drum
assembly (12) and pad-foot shell half (11).
(20)
Align edges of pad-foot shell half (17) flush with
edges of drum assembly (12).
(21)
Align mounting holes of pad-foot shell halves (11 and
17) and remove lifting device.
