CHARGE PUMP SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST
WARNING
Do NOT remove hydraulic tank filler cap or disconnect or remove any hydraulic system
line or fitting unless hydraulic system pressure has been relieved. Hydraulic system
pressure can be over 2,500 psi (17 237 kPa), even with engine and pump OFF. To relieve
pressure, shut down engine, then SLOWLY loosen hydraulic tank filler cap. After
maintenance, tighten all connections before applying pressure. Escaping hydraulic fluid
under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing injury or death.
At operating temperature hydraulic oil is hot. Allow hydraulic oil to cool before
disconnecting any hydraulics. Failure to do so may cause injury.
Oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning may
cause injury.
NOTE
Perform charge pump system pressure test first, before main (high pressure) relief valve
tests.
The CB534B and CB534C Roller propel pumps are tested the same, except as noted.
1.
Place propel control lever in NEUTRAL (TM 5-3895-379-10).
