Metering Pump (Steering)
Remove & Install Metering Pump
(Steering) 4343-010
Start By:
a.
release the pressure in the hydraulic system (page
14-7)

tilt operators platform or tilt cab
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and
under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill
plug only when the engine is stopped and when the fill
plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
NOTE:
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for
reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines
and fittings to prevent any contaminants from
entering the hydraulic system.

Disconnect five hose assemblies (3) from the metering
pump (steering).
2.
Remove four bolts (1), and remove plate (2) and
metering pump (steering)(4) from the operators
platform.
3.
Remove the four bolts, and remove plate (2) from
metering pump (steering) (4). During installation,
tighten the four bolts to a torque of 33 ± 5 N m (24 ± 4
lb-ft).
NOTE:
For installation of the metering pump (steering),
reverse the removal steps.
