NOTE:
Using a soft hammer, rap the wheel hub, retighten
the nut. Repeat this procedure until the nut will
not advance with the application of 135 N· m
(100 lb-ft) of torque.
NOTE:
After assembly of new bearings (3), loosen nut
to relieve preload to zero torque. Tighten nut.
Check rolling torque. Torque for rotation of
wheelhub .................................. 4 to 7 N· m (3 to 5 lb-ft)
NOTE:
After assembly of old bearings (3), loosen nut
to relieve preload to zero torque. Tighten nut.
Check rolling torque. Torque for rotation of
wheel hub .................2.0 to 3.4 N· m (1.5 to 2.50 lb-ft)
