Before Starting the Engine
Diesel engine exhaust contains products of
combustion which may be harmful to your health.
Always start and operate the engine in a well-
ventilated area and, if in an enclosed area, vent the
exhaust to the outside.
Mounting The Machine
Mount the machine only where steps and/or handholds
are provided.
Inspect, and when necessary, clean and have repairs
made to steps and handholds before mounting.
Face the machine when mounting.
Maintain a three-point contact (two feet and one hand
or one foot and two hands contact) with the steps and
handholds.
Machine Walk-Around Inspection
For maximum service life of the machine, make a
thorough walk-around inspection before mounting the
machine to start the engine.
Locked Position.
Unlocked Position.
Raise the steering frame lock pin and secure it in the
unlocked position. The steering frame lock pin must be
in this position to steer the machine.
Look around and under the machine for loose bolts,
trash build-up, oil or coolant leaks, and broken or worn
parts.
Inspect the condition of the hydraulic components.
Check all of the oil, coolant and fuel levels.
Check for water in both fuel filters.
