Temperature/Pressure Indicators
NOTICE
If the engine oil pressure indicator (1), engine
coolant temperature indicator (2), charge pressure
indicator (3) or hydraulic oil temperature indicator
(4) are activated, the horn will sound to alert the
operator to take corrective action.
Engine Oil Pressure (1) - Indicates low oil
pressure or a system malfunction. If the
indicator comes on, stop the machine
immediately. Stop the engine. Investigate
the cause. Check the engine oil level and have any
necessary repairs made before starting the engine
again. Do not operate the machine until the cause has
been corrected.
Engine Coolant Temperature (2) - This
indicates overheating of the engine coolant
or a system malfunction. Reduce machine
operating speed and keep the engine at
low idle until the engine is cooled down. If the indicator
stays on several minutes after running the engine at
low idle, stop the engine. Check the coolant level.
Check the fan drive belts for the water pump and fan
blade. Have any necessary repairs made. Do not
operate the machine until the cause has been
corrected.
Charge Pressure (3) - Indicates clogging
or restriction of flow to the hydraulic oil
filter. If the indicator comes on, pull to a
convenient stop and change the hydraulic
oil filter. Do not operate the machine until the hydraulic
oil filter has been changed. If the bypass indicator is
not on, investigate for other causes.
Hydraulic Oil Temperature (4) - This
indicates overheating of the hydraulic oil or
a system malfunction. Reduce machine
operating speed and keep the engine at
low idle until the hydraulic oil temperature decreases to
the correct level. If the indicator stays on after
restarting machine operation, stop the engine. Check
the hydraulic oil level. Check the oil cooler for
restriction. Have any necessary repairs made. Do not
operate the machine until the cause has been
corrected.
