ADJUSTMENT
NOTE
A small amount of preload on the scraper may be necessary to increase effectiveness.
1.
Install scraper (Figure 10, Item 3) so that scraper contains drum surface firmly and evenly from end-to-end
without bending.
2.
Tighten locknuts (Figure 10, Item 2) to 60 lb-ft (81 Nm) from center of scraper outward while applying pressure
on plate (Figure 10, Item 1) to ensure a small amount of preload on the scraper.
