Fan Motor
Remove & Install Fan Motor 1386-010
1.
Open the engine enclosure.
2.
Move the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
At operating temperatures, the oil tank is hot and under
pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug
only when the engine is stopped and when the fill plug is
cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
NOTE:
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for
reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines
and fittings to prevent any contaminants from
entering the system.

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly
loosening the fill cap located on the top of the hydraulic
oil tank.
4.
Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank. The
capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 80 liters (21.1 U.S.
gallons).
5.
Disconnect three hose assemblies (4) from fan motor
(2). Cap and plug immediately.
6.
Remove the bolt that fastens clamp (5) to guard (3).
7.
Remove the two bolts and brace (7) from between the
hydraulic oil tank and the radiator.
8.
Remove four bolts (6). Remove the three bolts that
fasten guard (3) to the left side of shroud (8).
9.
Remove the three bolts, and remove shroud (8) from left
side of the radiator, and remove the shroud.
10.
Remove the remaining two bolts (1), and remove fan
motor (2) and guard (3) from the left side of the
machine.
