Unit Injector Rocker Arms And Lifters

NOTE:
Refer to the Testing and Adjusting Section of this
Service Manual, for the sequence for installing
and adjusting the injector mechanism.

The injector rocker arm assembly for 3114 and 3116
engines are different compared with the 3126 engine
injector rocker arm.
(2)
Bore in rocker arm bearing for shaft
(new) ..................... 24.802 0.020 mm (.9765 ± .0008 in)
Diameter of shaft (new).......................... 24.755 0.010 mm
(.9746 .0004 in)
Holes in bearing must be aligned with holes in rocker
arm.
(3)
Torque for locknut ........................33 ± 7 N m (24 ± 5 lb-ft)

Fuel timing dimension. For the correct dimension to
use, see the Engine Information Plate, TMI (Technical
Marketing Information), or Fuel Setting And Related
Information Fiche.

Rocker stand height................................70.6 mm (2.78 in)

Injector push rod length............................. 221 mm (8.7 in)
NOTE:
Injector push rod length (6) corresponds to an
overall length measurement (top of cup to bottom
o ball) as taken by a serviceman with a scale. The
injector push rod length (6) is intended to provide
a means of identification.
