TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
SYMPTOM
THROTTLE CONTROL WILL NOT CHANGE ENGINE SPEED (CB534B)
MALFUNCTION
Throttle Cable Damaged.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
WARNING
DO NOT perform fuel system checks, inspections or maintenance while
smoking or near fire, flames or sparks. Fuel may ignite, causing injury or death,
or damage to machine.
Operating personnel must wear fuel-resistant gloves when handling fuels. If
exposed to fuel, properly wash exposed skin and change fuel-soaked clothing.
Fuel and oil are very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow
this warning may cause injury.
NOTE
For CB534B Roller only.
1.
Open right-side door assembly (TM 5-3895-379-10).
2.
Check throttle cable for damage such as kinking, bent condition, stripped threads, or broken
sleeve.
3.
Check for full travel of throttle cable at fuel injection pump while assistant operates throttle control
fully up and fully down.

a.
If throttle cable is not properly adjusted, adjust linkage (WP 0131).
b.
If throttle cable is damaged, replace throttle cable (WP 0131).
c.
If throttle cable is OK, notify supervisor that throttle cable will not change engine speed.
