Check for coolant leakage at radiator
hoses and water pump.
a. A small amount of coolant leakage Class III coolant leaks are
across the surface of the water pump evident.

tion for this type of seal.
b. A hole is provided in the water pump
housing in order to allow this cool-
ant/seal lubricant to drain from the
pump housing.
c. Intermittent leakage of small
amounts of coolant from this hole
indicates normal operation. It is not
an indication of water pump seal
failure or a faulty water pump.
