Close shut off valves (1).
4.
Mark two hose assemblies (2) for assembly purposes.
Disconnect hose assemblies (2) from cab (5). Cap and
plug immediately.
5.
Mark two hose assemblies (3) for assembly purposes.
Disconnect hose assembles (3) from cab (5). Cap and
plug immediately.
6.
Remove two bolts and hose clamps (4) from cab (5).
Move hose assemblies (2) and (3) out of the way.
7.
Lower the cab. Refer to the topic “Tilt & Lower Cab" in
this manual.
8.
Use a hoist to attach a lifting strap and Tooling (A) to
cab (5) as shown.
9.
Remove cab (5) from the machine. The weight of the
cab is 771 kg (1700 lb).
NOTE:
For installation of the cab, reverse the removal
steps.
NOTE:
Evacuate the air conditioner system. Charge the
air conditioner system. The correct charge is 2.5
kg (5.5 lb). Refer to Service Manual, SENR 4554,
"Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with
R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure.
Refer to the Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air
Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.
