DRUM SCRAPER REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE
A small amount of preload on the scraper may be necessary to increase effectiveness.
1.
Install scraper (4) so that scraper contacts drum sur-
face firmly and evenly from end-to-end without
bending.
2.
Tighten locknuts (1) to 60 lb-ft (81 Nm) from center
of scraper outward while applying pressure on plate
(6) to ensure a small amount of preload on the
scraper.
