Preventive Maintenance
The full-flow oil filter element should be removed, the shell
cleaned and a new element and gasket installed each time
the converter oil is changed.
Lubricate the input clutch release bearing and ball bearing
every 50 hours with an all purpose grease through the
grease fittings provided on the clutch housing. This time
interval may vary depending upon the operating conditions.
Over-lubrication will cause grease to be thrown on the
clutch facing, causing the clutch to slip.

WARNER MARINE GEAR:
Check the oil level daily. Start and run the engine at idle
speed for a few minutes to fill the lubrication system. Stop
the engine. Then immediately after stopping the engine,
check the oil level in the marine gear. Bring the oil level up
to the proper level on the dipstick. Use the same grade of
lubricating oil that is used in the engine. Do not overfill.

Change the oil every 200 hours. After draining the oil from the unit, clean the removable oil screen thoroughly before
refilling the marine gear with oil.
TWIN DISC MARINE GEAR:
Check the marine gear oil level daily. Check the oil level with the engine running at low idle speed and the gear in
neutral. Keep the oil up to the proper level on the dipstick. Use oil of the same heavy-duty grade and viscosity that is
used in the engine.
Change the oil every 200 hours. Remove and clean the oil inlet strainer screen after draining the oil and before refilling
the marine gear. The strainer is located in the sump at the lower end of the pump suction line. When refilling after an oil
drain, bring the oil up to the proper level on the dipstick (approximately 5quarts or 4.74 liters).
