Remove the four mounting nuts, lockwashers, and spacers from the mounting studs.

Remove the operating valve.

Use an open-end wrench and unscrew the regulator valve spring cover (10, fig. 70).

Unscrew and remove the locknut (9).
(7)
Turn the spring adjusting screw (7) counterclockwise and remove it from the valve bonnet (1).
(8)
Pull out and remove the valve spring (6).
