LINES AND PORTS
To keep dirt from contaminating fluid system when removing and installing fuel, oil, coolant, and hydraulic lines,
perform the following steps:
Clean fittings and surrounding area before disconnecting lines.
Cover cap, plug, or tape lines and ports after disconnecting lines. When these are not available, use
plastic bags and rubber bands, clean rags, duct tape or other similar materials to prevent dirt from entering
Ensure that new and used parts are clean before installing.
Replace all clamps and tiedown straps.
Wait to remove cover, cap, plug, or tape from lines and ports until just before installing lines.

engine coolant, hydraulic fluid, lubricants, battery acids, or batteries consult your unit/local
hazardous waste disposal center or safety office for local regulatory guidance. If further

Dispose of contaminated drained fluids IAW Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of your unit.
